About me!

I'm a second year graduate student in the MA psychology program at SUNY New Paltz. I'm currently working on my thesis while finishing my remaining coursework. I'm also an undergraduate advisor for the psychology department, as well as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate evolutionary psychology course.

My undergradute work includes a BA in Business with a concentration in human resources from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, as well as undergraduate and graduate coursework in psychology at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Before deciding on the MA program at SUNY New Paltz, I worked for several years as a human resource professional; specializing in recruiting, training and development and human resource management.

Outside of school I'm a coach/trainer for Gardiner Athletics (http://www.gardinerathletics.com/). I have a passion for teaching and coaching, espcially when it comes to barbells! I'm a competitive USAPL powerlifter and dabble in NAS strongman events. I find exercise, especially in the form of powerlifting, strongman and CrossFit challenging and rewarding (not to mention a great thesis stress reliever).

In my spare time I enjoy coffee, almost any outdoor activity and spending time with my friends and family, often chasing my 2-year old son, Brayden around.
